Digital Printing FAQs
How do I know if I should choose digital printing or offset printing for my project?
The answer depends on the type of project you have. If you are interested in a custom, personalized printing solution, a need for variable data printing, or are planning to print in short runs, then digital printing is probably the best choice. If however, you are seeking a large run printing project, or something that requires a larger format press, traditional offset printing is probably the best way to go.
What is the quality of digital printing?
While offset printing uses ink and requires time to dry, digital printing uses a dry toner that sets almost immediately. Some will say that digital printing has a slightly shinier look than offset, but with Print Plus and our HP Indigo and Konica Bizz Hub, you won’t be able to tell the difference between offset and digital printing.
Can I choose the paper for my project? What is the best paper to choose?
Absolutely. With Print Plus we’ll help you find the best paper to make your project look the very best. We partner with the leading paper manufacturers to provide you with inside knowledge about the best paper selection for your project.
How do I get started?
Give us a call or send us an email at email@example.com with your ideas. We’ll recommend the best way to complete your project. If you have final artwork, we're happy to review it. If you need to have artwork created…no problem. We can help you with high quality design and marketing advice to make your project a success.
What file formats do you accept?
For the highest quality printing, meeting your exact specifications, we recommend sending all artwork as PDF files (.pdf). However we will also accept InDesign, Quark Xpress, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher and others. Please contact us with any additional questions or needs about our digital prepress process.
The minimum quantities below are just guidelines which we at Print Plus think would be cost effective if you’re considering between the two options.
